The policies of the Department of Technical and Vocational Education and Training, Ministry of Science and Technology are as follows:

(1) To produce human resources for the development of modern economy, and to develop technical and vocational education and training

(2) To ensure that everyone who wants to learn technical and vocational education and training has the opportunity to learn

(3) To create teaching and learning opportunities and offer technical, vocational education and training courses that meet the needs of the region.

(4) To promote the engagement of private sector in TVET system

(5) To ensure lifelong learning opportunity in TVET

(6)  To ensure quality assurance for teaching, learning and training programs of TVET institutions.
